The year 2018 has ended. It was the year we felt a lot of learning and achievement that was quite satisfying for ourselves as individuals and as a team.

In this article, we try to reflect on and remember some activities we did, the products we developed throughout the year, and a few memorable things to remember before welcoming the new year.

At the beginning of 2018, precisely in February, we added a new device for the Efektor series. It was the Kuassa Efektor WF3607 Wah Filter. Later, on October we released the Marshall inspired “British sound” amp simulator called the Amplifikation Caliburn.

We are also thrilled to know that our plugins are frequently used by Indonesian artists, producers, and engineers. For some of you, these names probably sound familiar. Here are a few artists that is known to use Kuassa products on their 2018 releases:

  • Danilla – Lintasan Waktu Album (Produced, mixed, and mastered by Lafa Pratomo. All tracks are using EVE AT-1, Vermilion, Creme dan Cerberus)
  • Polka Wars – Rekam Jejak single (Produced by Lafa Pratomo and mixed by Aldi Nada Permana. Used EVE AT-1, EVE MP-5, Vermilion, Creme dan Cerberus)
  • Sound of Monkey – Teman single (Produced, mixed, and mastered by Avedis Mutter. Used Amplifikation Creme)
  • Nick Mac Grammy Nominated, RIAA Certified Platinum Engineer for Post Malone and Macklemore.

Midem (Marché International du Disque et de l’Edition Musicale) is one of the biggest music trade show which is organized annually in and around the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, France. The trade show, which is billed as the leading international business event for the music ecosystem, has been held since 1967.

Our CEO Grahadea with the others delegate from Indonesian rising music start-up: Jordy from Skala Sound and Maulana from Kolase concerning the issue about easier accessibility for everyone and everywhere, on how digital technology democratize the music Industry, titled: ” Solution for Music Industry through Innovation”.

We also contributed to a program by BEKRAF (Badan Ekonomi Kreatif/Board of Creative Economy) by having conferences to two cities in Indonesia: Menado and Tenggarong. On the conferences, our CEO, Grahadea, and other colleagues; Dina Dellyana, Angga Badilz, and Rembo Deathless talked about “How To Improve the Human Resource in the City of Music”. The conferences were held in May, August, and December of 2018.

Our Product Specialist, Dimitar Nalbantov, seems to not decrease in productivity. He is the only team member that is not residing in Indonesia. He started a new music project, and on last November, he released Classic Guitar Tunes Collection preset pack for Amplifikation Caliburn.
