South by Southwest (abbreviated as SXSW) is an annual conglomerate of film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States.
It began in 1987, and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year. In 2011, the conference lasted for 10 days with SXSW Interactive lasting for 5 days, Music for 6 days, and Film running concurrently for 9 days. (Wikipedia)
Indonesian creative industry players are set to participate in the SXSW (South by Southwest Conference and Festival) in Austin, US, from March 10 to 19
They are slated to represent the country in the festival’s Interactive Trade Show section consisted of games, VR, music technology, tech and venture capitalists, and set to exhibit in the Indonesian Pavilion. Digital start-ups, namely Qlue, Happy5, Kostoom, Kuassa, Dreadout, AR & Co, PicMix, GDP Venture, Em-Tek and Go-Jek.
Also, three acts from Indonesia will be scheduled to perform at SXSW 2017 as part of Showcasing Artists. They are electronic duo KimoKal, folk/post-rock band The Trees & The Wild as well as indie rock unit, lightcraft.
